The Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Democracy Fund Advisory Board met in the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ¡¯s SDG Studio for its annual autumn meeting on October 25th and approved Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDEF¡¯s 17th annual call for proposals.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDEF¡¯s annual call for proposals is open from 1 to 30 November 2022. Civil society organizations around the globe are invited to apply for grants up to US $250,000 for 2-year projects that empower civil society, promote human rights, and encourage the participation of all groups in democratic processes.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDEF invites project proposals covering any of the following thematic areas:
- Rule of law and human rights
- Women¡¯s empowerment
- Youth engagement
- Strengthening civil society interaction with Government
- Media and freedom of information
- Electoral processes

Proposals will undergo a highly competitive selection process. Short-listed applicants will be invited to enter a project document negotiation process and if successfully completed, proposals will be formally approved for funding.
