You are invited to the?ECOSOC Chamber?for a screening of the second episode of the six-part series?Enslaved: The Lost History of the Transatlantic Slave Trade from?6:30 pm to 8:30 pm?EDT.?
This episode, entitled ¡°Rationalization¡±, follows the journey of enslaved people and was shot on location in Ghana, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
It examines how people at the time justified the brutal 400-year transatlantic trade in enslaved Africans and how the ideology of racism started.
Award-winning journalist and series host??will be present for an in-person post-screening discussion, moderated by?, Director of the Department of Global Communications¡¯ Outreach Division.?
