From piracy and migrant smuggling to disruptions affecting global shipping routes, countries bordering one of the world¡¯s busiest waterways are seeking closer cooperation to stay ahead of fast-evolving maritime threats.
Peace operations are confronting increasingly complex environments, where formed police units (FPU) face rising threats such as improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and asymmetric attacks during routine tasks. These operational pressures are driving demand for stronger enabling capabilities and more integrated training support. In this context, the Triangular Partnership Programme (TPP) is entering a new phase of expansion that reflects broader shifts in how peace operations are supported.
