    Sudan is at a pivotal moment of change on its journey to political and socio-economic recovery. During this period, the international community has a key responsibility to support the government and people of Sudan with coordinated responses that promote peace, address multi-dimensional insecurities, empower people and leverage opportunities on the ground. In this context, the 蘑菇视频 Country Team in Sudan, with support from the 蘑菇视频TFHS, is responding to the complex challenges in the state of South Kordofan that has been at the center of armed conflict between the Government of Sudan and opposition groups in the past.

    Crossing the Bridge of Peace: Victim Assistance and Mine Risk Education for Human Security in Sudan

    The programme brought together Government ministries, national mine action authorities, 蘑菇视频 agencies, and landmine victims to develop the National Strategic Framework for Victim Assistance in order to comprehensively assess and respond to the multiple needs of previously unreached communities affected by landmines and explosive remnants of war (ERWs). ?

    Capacity building of African Union forces in Darfur

    The programme trained the African Union Mission in Sudan (AMIS) and the civilian population in a range of international and Sudanese norms and instruments with the aim to promote the human security of vulnerable civilian populations living in Darfur.

    Revitalisation of agricultural productive capacities in post-conflict zones

    By collaborating with local farmers, internally displaced persons, returnees, ex-combatants and female headed households, the programme restored food security and increased agricultural productivity in the Nuba Mountains through the distribution of agricultural inputs, credit assistance and basic training in food processing.
