Mr. Vieira welcomed the adoption of the SDGs and referred to Brazil&#8217;s recently announced INDC on carbon emissions as ambitious and positive to keeping momentum in the run-up to COP 21\u00a0in Paris.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Brazilian Foreign Minister also expressed expectations that the 70<sup>th<\/sup> session may have positive developments for a reform of the United Nations, including its Security Council, and for a more transparent selection process of the next Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Secretary-General. The President reaffirmed that while he cannot commit to a specific outcome, he will endeavour to make Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ processes run smoothly.
