The President of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly Mogens Lykketoft met with German Environment Minister Barbara Hendricks on Sunday ahead of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Climate Change Conference.<\/p>\n

They discussed the importance of financing to help developing countries adapt to climate change and invest in renewable energy.\u00a0They noted the\u00a0French Government”s strong leadership of the COP process.<\/p>\n

Mr Lykketoft informed the German delegation about the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly”s High Level Thematic Debate on implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Action 11-12 April 2016 at which he hopes member states will take the outcomes of COP21 forwards.<\/p>\n
