\u00a9Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRIC\/ Durickas<\/p><\/div>\n

The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly President, Mogens Lykketoft today had talks with Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker, the President of the European Commission in the Berlaymont-building in Brussels.<\/p>\n

The main issues on the agenda were the refugee crisis, upcoming thematic debates at the General Assembly on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), migration and the elections of the next Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Secretary-General.<\/p>\n

Earlier today, Mr. Lykketoft met with High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Ms Federica Mogherini, and Commissioners Mr. Johannes Hahn (European Neighbourhood Policy & Enlargement Negotiations), Mr. Dimitris Avramopoulos, (Migration and Home Affairs) and Mr. Frans Timmermans (First Vice-President).<\/p>\n

The President also had a meeting with Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Didier Reynders and was received by Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium, newly appointed Advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n
