In this role, she planned official visits and managed protocol requirements, handled budgetary issues for the office, and assisted in organizing international events. Her duties also included accompanying the State Secretary on international trips and editing speeches, introductory messages and presentations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Prior to her tenure on the State Secretary\u2019s staff, Sonja worked in various capacities in specialist divisions within the BMUB. She played a key role in planning, organizing and managing the G8 Environment Minister meeting and the G8 Gleneagles Dialogue in 2007 when she worked for the division \u201cInternational Climate Policy\u201d.
