This Agenda sets a new global standard for sustainable urban development and will help us rethink how we plan, manage and live in cities.<\/p>\n<p>To maintain momentum around the implementation of the New Urban Agenda and to reflect on the positioning of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ-Habitat in that regard, the President of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly, H.E. Peter Thomson, convenes a two-day High level meeting of the General Assembly on 5 and 6 September 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will focus on best practices and success stories in relation to the implementation of the New Urban Agenda. It will also address the measures contained in the <em>Report of the Secretary General\u2019s Independent Panel to Assess, Enhance Effectiveness of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ-Habitat after Adoption of New Urban Agenda<\/em>, which was published at the beginning of August 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 High Level Meeting on New Urban Agenda and Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ-Habitat<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHO\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>H.E.
