7 septembre 2017 \u2013 L’\u00e9ducation peut promouvoir les id\u00e9aux de non-violence, d’\u00e9galit\u00e9 et de respect mutuel, ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 jeudi des responsables des Nations Unies lors d’un forum de haut niveau sur la fa\u00e7on d’atteindre une culture de la paix face aux d\u00e9fis actuels et aux menaces qui p\u00e8sent sur la stabilit\u00e9, la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 et la plan\u00e8te.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous devons enseigner \u00e0 nos enfants les valeurs de paix, de tol\u00e9rance, d’\u00e9galit\u00e9 et de respect. Ils ne devraient pas se faire d’illusion sur le caract\u00e8re suicidaire de l’alternative \u00bb, a dit le Pr\u00e9sident de l’Assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale des Nations Unies, Peter Thomson, qui a organis\u00e9 ce forum \u00e0 New York avec un accent mis sur le d\u00e9veloppement de la petite enfance.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous devons leur permettre d’acqu\u00e9rir les comp\u00e9tences et l’\u00e9ducation dont ils ont besoin pour r\u00e9soudre pacifiquement les diff\u00e9rends, faire face \u00e0 l’injustice et \u00e0 l’intol\u00e9rance, et rejeter toutes les formes de discrimination et de haine \u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n

M. Thomson a not\u00e9 que la cr\u00e9ation de soci\u00e9t\u00e9s pacifiques et justes d\u00e9pend de l’\u00e9limination de la pauvret\u00e9, de l’accroissement de la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 inclusive, de la promotion des droits de l’homme, du renforcement de l’\u00e9tat de droit et de la cr\u00e9ation d’institutions efficaces et responsables.<\/p>\n

L’\u00e9v\u00e9nement a r\u00e9uni des repr\u00e9sentants des \u00c9tats membres des Nations Unies, des entit\u00e9s du syst\u00e8me des Nations Unies, de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile, des m\u00e9dias, du secteur priv\u00e9 et d’autres personnes int\u00e9ress\u00e9es \u00e0 \u00e9changer des id\u00e9es et des suggestions sur les moyens de construire et promouvoir une culture de la paix.<\/p>\n

Outre l’\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance et les investissements dans les enfants, le Secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l’ONU, Ant\u00f3nio Guterres, a soulign\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d’investir dans la jeunesse pour promouvoir la paix mondiale.<\/p>\n

Il a estim\u00e9 que les jeunes hommes et les jeunes femmes \u00e9taient \u00ab le barom\u00e8tre du m\u00e9contentement social, de la marginalisation \u00e9conomique et de l’exclusion politique \u00bb et qu’ils devaient \u00eatre reconnus comme des agents actifs du changement et des garants de la paix.<\/p>\n

Dans un discours prononc\u00e9 par sa Conseill\u00e8re principale sur les questions politiques, Ana Mar\u00eda Men\u00e9ndez, le Secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral a \u00e9galement reconnu les contributions et la participation des femmes aux efforts de paix \u00e0 long terme. Il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu’une participation significative des femmes g\u00e9n\u00e8re une perspective diff\u00e9rente dans la r\u00e9solution des probl\u00e8mes et doit \u00eatre soutenue dans tous les aspects de la vie.<\/p>\n

M. Guterres a \u00e9galement soulign\u00e9 l’importance d’investir dans l’inclusion et la coh\u00e9sion, de sorte que la diversit\u00e9 soit consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme un avantage et non comme une menace.<\/p>\n

Mr Mogens Lykketoft, President of the 70th<\/sup> session of the General Assembly, at\u00a0International Youth Skills Day: \u201cSkills Development to Improve Youth Employment\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_61890\" align=\"alignleft\" width=\"300\"]\"Opening \u00a9Carter Mathiasen[\/caption]\r\n\r\nExcellences, ladies and gentlemen, thank you for giving me this opportunity to address you today.\r\n\r\nAlmost a year ago, here in New York, the Member States of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.\r\n\r\nOne of the moments of the summit that stands out most clearly in my mind was when Malala Yousafzai peered down from the balcony in the General Assembly hall and said:\r\n\r\n\u201cLeaders of the world - look up because the future generation is raising their voice\u201d.\r\n\r\nAnd this is what the 2030 Agenda is all about \u2013 transforming our world for future generations and leaving no one behind.\r\n\r\nWith the largest youth population ever, with 73.4 million young people unemployed globally in 2015, and with young women more likely to be underemployed and under-paid, the task ahead is immense.\r\n\r\nFar too often, the incredible potential in the world\u2019s youth population is wasted by extreme poverty, discrimination or lack of skills and information.\r\n\r\nSkills development is a primary means of enabling young people to make a smooth transition to work.\r\n\r\nEducation and training can make the difference for youth between poverty and employment.\r\n\r\nWith the 2030 Agenda and especially SDG target 4.4, all Member States have committed to substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship.\r\n\r\nNow, however, is the time to move from commitment to action.\r\n\r\nThe launch of the first-ever Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ system-wide Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth aims to do just that.\r\n\r\nWe need initiatives like this to get the best out of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ and to make sure that we move on this new agenda both at the local, national, regional and global levels.\r\n\r\nIn the end, it is of course national governments that have the main responsibility of implementing the 2030 Agenda.\r\n\r\nBut as has been said time and again, the transformation this Agenda demands, cannot be done by governments alone.\r\n\r\nThey will need the support, encouragement and push from all stakeholders and they will need the energy and the ideals of young people in particular.\r\n\r\nI therefore encourage all young people to get involved, play your part, help us create a better future for all \u2013 for people and for planet alike.\r\n\r\nThank you.","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[73],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-113701","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-newsandupdates-fr","et-has-post-format-content","et_post_format-et-post-format-standard"],"yoast_head":"\nA un forum de haut niveau, l'ONU souligne l'importance de l'\u00e9ducation dans la construction d'une culture de la paix -
