Elina Lemmetty is a Senior Adviser and the Team Coordinator for Budget and Administration in the Office of the President of the 72nd Session of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly. She is responsible for financing and administration of the Office of the President, as well as issues related to Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ budget and management in the General Assembly, including management and budgetary reforms. She is also covering issues related to migration.<\/p>\n
In the Office of the President of the 71st Session of the General Assembly, Elina was responsible for Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ financing and management in the Administrative and Budgetary Committee (Fifth Committee). She also covered other Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ institutional matters, including participation of civil society organizations at the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ, as well as issues related to migration.<\/p>\n
Prior to joining the Office of the President, Elina served at the Permanent Mission of Finland to the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ in New York, covering Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ budgets and administration, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ reforms, as well as matters related to good governance, accountability and transparency. During her three years with the Mission she participated in the work of the Fifth Committee as a facilitator, negotiator and a bureau member.<\/p>\n
Elina is a Finnish career diplomat who has covered issues from international law and human rights to regional development cooperation with (Southern African Development Community) SADC countries during her career in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. She has also worked in the Consulate General of Finland in Saint Petersburg, Russia.<\/p>\n
Before joining the diplomatic service, Elina worked as lawyer and compliance officer in the private sector. She is fluent in English and Finnish, understands French and Swedish and speaks elementary Russian.<\/p>\n

Team Support<\/span> | Political issues<\/span><\/h3>Ambreen Fatima Anwar Husain is an intern with the Office of the President of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, New York, focusing on political issues. She is a graduate of Dr. RML National Law University, India, with a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Prior to her internship with the Office of the President of the General Assembly, Ambreen worked at an Intellectual Property law firm in India, with a particular focus on trade marks. While pursuing her Bachelor\u2019s course, she interned with the Women\u2019s Rights Cell of Lawyer\u2019s Collective, where she analyzed the trends in judicial announcements relating to the law of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence. While pursuing \u00a0additional internships in areas varying from intellectual property rights and corporate law to human rights law, she developed her skills in research and writing. Ambreen Fatima Anwar Husain is an intern with the Office of the President of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, New York, focusing on political issues. She is a graduate of Dr. RML National Law University, India, with a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Prior to her internship with the Office of the President of the General Assembly, Ambreen worked at an Intellectual Property law firm in India, with a particular focus on trade marks. While pursuing her Bachelor\u2019s course, she interned with the Women\u2019s Rights Cell of Lawyer\u2019s Collective, where she analyzed the trends in judicial announcements relating to the law of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence. While pursuing \u00a0additional internships in areas varying from intellectual property rights and corporate law to human rights law, she developed her skills in research and writing.
