Harriet Osias is the Personal Assistant to the President of the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, a position she also served in for the President of the 71st<\/sup>\u00a0Session.<\/p>\n

In her current position, she provides support to the President of the 71st<\/sup>\u00a0Session of the United Nations General Assembly in the effective carrying-out of his daily activities and manages his schedule.<\/p>\n

Before joining the Office of the President\u00a0of the United Nations General Assembly, Harriet worked for two years with the Secretary-General Climate Change Support Team.<\/p>\n

Harriet\u00a0started working in the United Nations in 1985, in the Press Section of the Department of Public Information, moving on later to the General Legal Division of the Office of Legal Affairs, where she worked as an administrative assistant until 1991. From that year and until 2010, Harriet served in the Executive Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations.<\/p>\n

Harriet also worked for Missions in Switzerland, the former Yugoslavia and Lebanon.<\/p>\n

Harriet speaks English and French.<\/p>\n

Ambreen Fatima Anwar Husain is an intern with the Office of the President of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, New York, focusing on political issues. She is a graduate of Dr. RML National Law University, India, with a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Prior to her internship with the Office of the President of the General Assembly, Ambreen worked at an Intellectual Property law firm in India, with a particular focus on trade marks. While pursuing her Bachelor\u2019s course, she interned with the Women\u2019s Rights Cell of Lawyer\u2019s Collective, where she analyzed the trends in judicial announcements relating to the law of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence. While pursuing \u00a0additional internships in areas varying from intellectual property rights and corporate law to human rights law, she developed her skills in research and writing.
