Isis Gonsalves is an assistant speechwriter and advises on communications, youth and reforms in the Office of the President of the 72nd Session of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly<\/p>\n

She is a lawyer with experience in multilateral diplomacy.<\/p>\n

Isis has served as an adviser at the Permanent Mission of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations, focusing on the areas of climate change, oceans, the Budgetary and Administrative Committee (Fifth Committee) and Security Council reform. Prior to being posted to New York, Isis served as a Crown Counsel in the Attorney General\u2019s Chambers in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.<\/p>\n

Isis holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies, a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago and a Master of Laws (Corporate and Commercial Law) from the University of the West Indies.<\/p>\n

Ambreen Fatima Anwar Husain is an intern with the Office of the President of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, New York, focusing on political issues. She is a graduate of Dr. RML National Law University, India, with a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Prior to her internship with the Office of the President of the General Assembly, Ambreen worked at an Intellectual Property law firm in India, with a particular focus on trade marks. While pursuing her Bachelor\u2019s course, she interned with the Women\u2019s Rights Cell of Lawyer\u2019s Collective, where she analyzed the trends in judicial announcements relating to the law of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence. While pursuing \u00a0additional internships in areas varying from intellectual property rights and corporate law to human rights law, she developed her skills in research and writing.
