That was why their perspectives needed to be heard at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Headquarters.<\/li>\n<li>He also cited their ability to combat misperceptions and mistruths about migration with facts. He told them, \u201cYou can drive an evidence-based approach in your parliaments, and among your constituents.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The President also discussed migration today in a separate <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ_PGA\/status\/966726559880089600\">meeting<\/a> with the European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, H.E. Mr. Dimitris Avramopoulos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>PRESIDENT MEETS VICE PRESIDENT OF ECUADOR, FOREIGN MINISTER OF C\u00d4TE D\u2019IVOIRE<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The President met today with <a href=\"\/pga\/72?p=139937\">E. Ms. Mar\u00eda Alejandra Vicu\u00f1a Mu\u00f1oz<\/a>, Vice President of the Republic of Ecuador.<\/li>\n<li>The President briefed the Vice President on ongoing processes at the United Nations related to migration, including the recently launched intergovernmental negotiations on the Global Compact on Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.<\/li>\n<li>They also discussed regional dynamics, United Nations reforms and the President\u2019s forthcoming events on peacebuilding and sustaining peace, water and youth.<\/li>\n<li>The President was encouraged by Ecuador\u2019s commitment to multilateralism.<\/li>\n<li>The President will meet later this afternoon with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, H.E.
