World leaders, civil society and the private sector will be brought together to discuss and highlight the need for conflict prevention, mediation, dialogue and diplomacy.<\/li>\n<li>Speakers will include award-winning actor and United Nations Development Programme Goodwill Ambassador\u00a0Michelle Yeoh\u00a0and best-selling author and Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵICEF advocate Ishmael Beah.<\/li>\n<li>Ahead of the gathering, President Laj\u010d\u00e1k <a href=\"\/pga\/72?p=148381\">said<\/a>, \u201cÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵ needs a\u00a0new approach to peace. There is a growing understanding that the United Nations\u2019 efforts should go beyond addressing the immediate needs of war torn countries. AMBASSADORS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>This morning the President held the ninth in his series of Morning Dialogues with United Nations ambassadors. The topic was: \u201cLeading from the Front \u2013 How to strengthen the primacy of the General Assembly.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Ten Permanent Representatives participated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>PRESIDENT MEETS WITH IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The President <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ_PGA\/status\/987360765547073536\">met this morning<\/a> with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. M.
