Every United Nations Member State has made a commitment to confine such horrors to history. And the Responsibility to Protect can help us to meet this commitment. So it deserves our full attention today.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>PRESIDENT TO CHAIR Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA CONTRIBUTIONS COMMITTEE<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>This afternoon, the President will chair the General Assembly\u2019s Ad Hoc Committee for the Announcement of Voluntary Contributions to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA).<\/li>\n<li>He is expected to say that we need to find an immediate solution for the Agency\u2019s shortfall.<\/li>\n<li>But we also can\u2019t forget the bigger picture: the urgent need for a political solution, which will allow Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. The meeting will take place at 3:00 p.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>ASSEMBLY TO REVIEW GLOBAL COÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵTER-TERRORISM STRATEGY<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The General Assembly plenary will meet tomorrow morning for its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/pga\/72\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/51\/2018\/06\/Global-Counter-Terrorism-Strategy-18-June.pdf\">sixth review<\/a> of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.<\/li>\n<li>The president has circulated to Member States the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/pga\/72\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/51\/2018\/06\/PGA-Letter-6th-review-Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵCT.pdf\">draft resolution<\/a> that will be considered at tomorrow\u2019s meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>FIFTH COMMITTEE CONTINUING ITS WORK<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>In response to questions, the Spokesperson said that the General Assembly\u2019s Fifth Committee met over the past weekend.<\/li>\n<li>The Secretary-General\u2019s management reform proposals and his Global Service Delivery Model (GSDM) report were still being considered.
