GENERAL ASSEMBLY PRESIDENT TO VISIT CHINA<\/h1>\n

United Nations, New York, 29 June 2018 \u2013\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>The President of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Laj\u010d\u00e1k, will visit the People\u2019s Republic of China from 1 to 3 July.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Beijing, the President will meet with Chinese officials, including: H.E. Mr. Wang Qishan, Vice President; H.E. Mr. Yang Jiechi, Member of the Political Bureau and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China\u2019s Central Committee; H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister for Foreign Affairs; and H.E. Mr. Li Shulei, Deputy Chairman of the National Supervisory Commission.<\/p>\n

While in China, Mr. Laj\u010d\u00e1k will also visit the National Science Library in the Chinese technology hub of Zhongguancun and a number of cultural and historical sites.<\/p>\n

The President will travel to China with his Chef de Cabinet, Mr. Franti\u0161ek Ru\u017ei\u010dka; his Senior Adviser, Mr. Zhang Yi; and his Communications Adviser, Ms. Katharina Kandt.<\/p>\n

Travel costs will be covered by the Government of China.<\/p>\n

The President will be back in the office on 5 July.<\/p>\n
