The document was signed by President Mar\u00eda Fernanda Espinosa, Heads of State and Government in their personal capacities as international leaders, and other participants. The Call for Action plan has eight points:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Lead by example by mentoring young women to strengthen their capacity to participate in politics;<\/li>\n<li>Identify and work with champions all over the world to push for national actions required to empower women and give the opportunity to participate as leaders in politics;<\/li>\n<li>Create synergies and strengthen the networks that encourage women to participate in politics and support the sharing of knowledge and experience;<\/li>\n<li>Promote legal frameworks including laws and policies to ensure the full participation of women in politics without discrimination;<\/li>\n<li>Develop specific measures to address violence against women in politics in all its forms and manifestations;<\/li>\n<li>Adopt policies that ensure women\u2019s equal participation in the economy and in society at large, including shared parental leave, and access to quality child care as investments that create a better future for all of us;<\/li>\n<li>Give priority to girls\u2019 education and the economic empowerment of women as key ingredients for women to achieve their full potential;<\/li>\n<li>Create an environment where gender equality is respected, and inclusion is part of the organizational culture in all spheres of society;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The document also states that:\u00a0\u201c<em>Women\u2019s leadership is needed more urgently than ever to address global challenges from climate change to arms race to rising inequality.<\/em> And: \u201c<em>As the world becomes more divided, women\u2019s voice against conflict, stereotypes and discrimination will have to be louder than ever.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Call for Action plan was signed by:<\/p>\n<p>H.
