Asimismo, abogar\u00e9 por sistemas eficaces de detecci\u00f3n y alerta temprana, as\u00ed como por la mediaci\u00f3n, la negociaci\u00f3n y la soluci\u00f3n pac\u00edfica de los conflictos actuales. Trabajar\u00e9 para generar cooperaci\u00f3n con miras a abordar las causas de los conflictos, como la pobreza, la exclusi\u00f3n y el analfabetismo.<\/p>\n<p>Me centrar\u00e9 en el aumento de las asociaciones para el logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, en particular la erradicaci\u00f3n de la pobreza, el hambre cero y la educaci\u00f3n de calidad. Durante este per\u00edodo de sesiones, insto a todos los Estados Miembros a que intercambien sus experiencias sobre la erradicaci\u00f3n de la pobreza, especialmente sobre la manera en que la mejora de los sistemas de protecci\u00f3n social puede beneficiar a las personas vulnerables, que son las m\u00e1s afectadas por la pobreza. Pido a todos ustedes que centren su atenci\u00f3n en la mejor manera de fortalecer el sistema de las Naciones Unidas para asegurar que los m\u00e1s vulnerables puedan escapar del debilitante ciclo de pobreza y hambre por medio del intercambio de conocimientos sobre los sistemas sostenibles de producci\u00f3n de alimentos, las pr\u00e1cticas agr\u00edcolas resilientes, la disponibilidad de maquinaria agr\u00edcola productiva y asequible y la ampliaci\u00f3n de la capacidad empresarial.<\/p>\n<p>Es importante una educaci\u00f3n de calidad, y el hecho de que ning\u00fan pa\u00eds pueda desarrollarse m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de su capacidad educativa, en particular la de sus docentes, significa que debemos trabajar para asegurar que los Estados Miembros puedan asociarse en la formaci\u00f3n de docentes y el acceso a una educaci\u00f3n primaria y secundaria gratuita y de calidad, entre otras cosas. En algunas comunidades, lo que hace falta es construir escuelas, mientras que en muchas otras es necesario ocuparse de la seguridad de los estudiantes. Debemos concebir mecanismos para atender las necesidades educativas de todos.<\/p>\n<p>El cambio clim\u00e1tico contin\u00faa siendo una cuesti\u00f3n clave en el desarrollo, y debemos hacer frente a sus causas y sus repercusiones. Las recientes situaciones de emergencia que se observaron en las Bahamas, Mozambique y la regi\u00f3n del Sahel, entre otras, nos recuerdan que es urgente fortalecer la acci\u00f3n mundial y que debemos encontrar la manera de fortalecer esa acci\u00f3n para hacer frente al cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>Es importante hacer hincapi\u00e9 en la inclusi\u00f3n, comenzando en el seno de nuestra Organizaci\u00f3n en particular. Al mismo tiempo, tambi\u00e9n dedicar\u00e1n su atenci\u00f3n a la Cumbre sobre la Acci\u00f3n Clim\u00e1tica, la reuni\u00f3n de alto nivel sobre la cobertura sanitaria universal, la Cumbre sobre los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, la conmemoraci\u00f3n de la Convenci\u00f3n sobre los Derechos del Ni\u00f1o, el Di\u00e1logo de Alto Nivel sobre la Financiaci\u00f3n para el Desarrollo, el D\u00eda Internacional para la Eliminaci\u00f3n Total de las Armas Nucleares y el examen de mitad de per\u00edodo de las Modalidades de Acci\u00f3n Acelerada para los Peque\u00f1os Estados Insulares en Desarrollo (Trayectoria de Samoa). Durante esa semana, deliberar\u00e1n sobre cuestiones que son fundamentales para mejorar la vida de miles de millones de personas en todo el mundo y dictar\u00e1n pol\u00edticas para fomentar el desarrollo. Los resultados de las deliberaciones durante la semana de alto nivel guiar\u00e1n nuestra labor en el resto del per\u00edodo de sesiones.\n<\/p>\n<p>Estimados colegas:\n<\/p>\n<p>Nunca debemos olvidar que el mundo considera a las Naciones Unidas como un verdadero instrumento para alcanzar la paz y la seguridad, el desarrollo sostenible y los derechos humanos universales.\n<\/p>\n<p>Como el \u00f3rgano deliberativo m\u00e1s representativo de las Naciones Unidas, la Asamblea General debe redoblar sus esfuerzos encaminados a colmar las lagunas y adoptar medidas en pro del bien com\u00fan de las personas a las que servimos, sobre todo a medida que nos preparamos para celebrar el septuag\u00e9simo quinto aniversario de la Organizaci\u00f3n y en consonancia con la visi\u00f3n de futuro de sus fundadores. Debemos fomentar la confianza mutua, profundizar las asociaciones y demostrar empat\u00eda. Esa es la \u00fanica manera de resolver los numerosos desaf\u00edos a los que nos enfrentamos. Deberemos trabajar de consuno para servir a todos.\n<\/p>\n<p>Para concluir, deseo reiterar que, durante el septuag\u00e9simo cuarto per\u00edodo de sesiones de la Asamblea General, la Oficina del Presidente de la Asamblea General trabajar\u00e1 en estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n con los Presidentes del Consejo de Seguridad y del Consejo Econ\u00f3mico y Social, as\u00ed como con el Secretario General, a fin de garantizar mejor el \u00e9xito en la consecuci\u00f3n de nuestros objetivos comunes. Si bien soy consciente de las exigencias encontradas que recaer\u00e1n sobre ustedes durante este per\u00edodo y despu\u00e9s de \u00e9l, continuar\u00e9 llamando a sus puertas y contando con su apoyo para hacer de este per\u00edodo de sesiones de la Asamblea General un per\u00edodo de sesiones productivo e incluso agradable.
