<\/h3>\nVahd Nabyl A. Mulachela is a senior adviser on strategic partnerships and Third Committee in the Office of the President of the 74th<\/sup>\u00a0Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Vahd oversees the outreach of the Office of the President to civil society, private sector, and other strategic partners. He also covers the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly\u2019s Third Committee agenda items relating to social, humanitarian and human rights issues, the advancement of women, the protection of children, indigenous issues, the treatment of refugees, the promotion of fundamental freedoms through the elimination of racism and racial discrimination, the right to self-determination, youth, family, ageing, persons with disabilities, crime prevention, criminal justice, and international drug control.<\/p>\n As a diplomat from Indonesia, he joined his country\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2005, and served in various positions at the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs; the Directorate of East Asia and the Pacific; the Directorate of North and Central America; and at the Secretariat of the Directorate General of American and European Affairs.<\/p>\n From 2010 to 2014 he served as third and second secretary in the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, D.C., with portfolio covering Indonesia\u2019s economic affairs with the United States, the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).<\/p>\n Vahd was also an adviser to the President of the 73rd<\/sup>\u00a0Session of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly covering issues related to strategic partnership, finance, ethics, management and youth.
