VOICES FROM THE FIELD<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Yesterday evening, the President\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/pga\/75\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/100\/2020\/10\/Letter-to-MS-on-HLM-to-Commemorate-75-Anniversary-of-Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">sent Member States an invitation letter<\/a>\u00a0to the United Nations Day commemoration ceremony, which will be held this Monday, 26 October, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., in\u00a0the General Assembly Hall.<\/li>\n<li>The observance ceremony will highlight Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ voices from the field and insiders\u2019 perspectives on the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ\u2019s work and the future of the organization. Following a short opening segment, there will be a solemn moment to symbolically renew commitment to the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Charter.<\/li>\n<li>There will also be a short interactive debate moderated by the Secretary-General\u2019s Envoy on Youth and featuring several Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ personnel of different backgrounds and levels of field experience.<\/li>\n<li>Asked how much of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Day ceremony would be in-person and how much would be virtual, the Spokesperson said this would be an in-person event, featuring in-person statements in the opening segment by the President of the General Assembly, the Secretary-General and the Presidents of the Security Council and Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
