The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with?the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Sao Tome and Principe H.E. Mrs. Edite Do Ramos Da Costa Ten-Jua. ?
Minister Da Costa Ten-Jua congratulated the President and reaffirmed Sao Tome and Principe’s full support to the Presidency of Hope. and the priorities identified by President Shahid for the 76th?session. As a Small Islands and Developing State (SIDS), the Minister emphasized on the need for the 蘑菇视频 to shed light on the different processes LDC’s are facing while graduating.
The PGA welcomed the Minister and remarked that Sao Tome and Principe and the Maldives were SIDS are confronted with similar issues, such as overcoming the global pandemic and addressing the climate crisis.?President Shahid briefed the Foreign Minister on his forthcoming high-level events on climate change and environment.?
Both sides also discussed other relevant topics such as multilateralism, blue economy, climate change, and the??Oceans Conference in Lisbon.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.?
