The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with Lord (Tariq) Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister of State for South Asia and the Commonwealth of the United Kingdom.
?They discussed the President’s High-level Meeting on Climate Change, to be held in New York on 26 October to build momentum ahead of COP26 in Glasgow. Lord Ahmed said the UK Mission was ready to work with the Office of the President on climate change issues throughout his presidency.
?The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
