The President of the 76^th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Gustavo Zlauvinen, President-designate for the 10^th Review Conference for the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).?

President-designate Zlauvinen shared with the President Shahid preparations for the 10^th NPT Review Conference scheduled to be held in the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Headquarters in New York, 4-28 January 2022. In particular, Ambassador Zlauvinen requested the support of Office of the President of the General Assembly in facilitating the Review Conference.

President Shahid underlined the importance of the 10^th NPT Review Conference as a critical momentum to make meaningful progress in the global nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation. The President re-assured his Office¡¯s full support to ensure the success of the Review Conference.

The meeting took place in the President¡¯s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.?
