The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with Mr. Adel Abdellatif, Director, a.i., of the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation.
During the meeting, President Shahid and Director Abdellatif discussed areas of collaboration between the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation, and the office of the President of the General Assembly, the (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵOSSC) Director also expressed support to the priorities initiated by President Shahid during the 76th session of the General Assembly.
The President noted that the COVID-19 responses, demonstrated the importance of South-South cooperation. Both sides discussed that advancing South-south cooperation is a shared responsibility, and they urged the need to build confidence and trust through the engagement of countries from the global south and the north.
The President met the (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵOSSC) Director, Ad Interim Mr. Adel Abdellatif in his office at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
