The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Ms. Egriselda Aracely González López, Permanent Representative of El Salvador to the United Nations and Chair of the Fourth Committee.
Ambassador Egriselda briefed the PGA on the work of the Fourth Committee and elaborated on the complexity of the considered subjects.
The President extended his felicitations to the Ambassador on the successful conclusion of the work in the Fourth Committee during the General Assembly main session.
The President and the Ambassador also discussed issues relating to GA revitalization, methods of work, female empowerment and participation in the work of the Committees.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York on 16 November 2021.
