The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Mher Margaryan, Chair of the Fifth (Administrative and Budgetary) Committee.
Ambassador Margaryan?briefed the President on the current state of negotiations in the Fifth Committee, in particular on the 2022 budget.
The President commended the work of the Committee to date and urged delegations, through the Chair, to redouble efforts in order to conclude negotiations and the work of the Committee by 23 December.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
