The President of the 76th?session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met ?with H.E. Ms. Rabab Fatima, Permanent Representative of Bangladesh and Chair of the Peacebuilding Commission.
H.E. Ms. Fatima Permanent briefed the President on the importance of the upcoming high-level meeting aiming at ensuring adequate, predictable, and sustained financing for peacebuilding.
The President extended his?congratulations?to the Peacebuilding Commission Chair for her nomination and the valuable work of the Commission in the realm of achieving sustainable peace.
The President and the Permanent Representative also discussed the President’s recent travels, the International Mother Language Day and upcoming processes like the International Migration Review Forum.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York on 8 February 2022.
