On 7 March, the President of the 76th?session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met with Ms. Marta Vali?as, Chairperson of the Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
Ms. Vali?as briefed the President of the General Assembly on the mandate and work of the Fact-Finding Mission as well as on its findings.? The President of the General Assembly thanked Ms. Vali?as for their?work and the updates provided on the activities of the Fact-Finding Mission.
Both sides also discussed issues related to PGA’s priorities and the centrality of human rights?at the United Nations.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
