On 15 March 2022, the President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, held a coordination meeting with H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Abushahab, Deputy Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates to the 蘑菇视频 as President of the Security Council for the month of March 2022.
?Ambassador Abushahab briefed the President on the Programme of Work of the Security Council during the UAE’s ongoing Presidency and highlighted its key events, notably the ministerial-level open debate focusing on Women Peace and Security: women’s economic inclusion, on 8 March, the ministerial level Arria-formula meeting on climate finance for sustaining Peace and security, on 9 March as well as the briefing on strengthening cooperation between the Security Council and the League of Arab States to be scheduled on 23 March.
The President Shahid commended the high-level events of the UAE’s presidency while noting the complex security situation that the world is confronted with. They also discussed the ongoing situation in Ukraine, as well as the “Our Common Agenda” consultations.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
