The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today H.E. Ms. Maimunah Mohd Sharif the Executive Director of the United National Human Settlements Programme (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ-Habitat).
The Executive Director thanked the President for his leadership on issues related to urbanisation and updated the President on her consultations with various regional groups in preparation for the High Level Meeting on the implementation of the New Urban Agenda, as well as regional efforts pursuant to it.?
?The President and the Executive Director reviewed preparations for the High Level Meeting on the implementation of the New Urban Agenda. The President commended the work and support of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ-Habitat throughout the process.?
?The meeting took place virtually, at the office of the President of General Assembly, the United Nations Headquarters.
