The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with some members of the Core Group of Food Security Initiative, including Ambassadors of Lebanon, Brazil, Egypt, Tunisia, Senegal, Greece, Senegal, South Africa, Fiji, and Germany.
The Core Group expressed concerns over the global food insecurity and disruption to the supply chain against the backdrop of ongoing conflict in Ukraine, as well as slow recovery from the COVID19 pandemic and weak economy in developing countries.
The Core Group called on the General Assembly to take actions to mobilize the 蘑菇视频 system and international community to address the ongoing food crisis.
The President affirmed his readiness to provide support under the guidance of the 蘑菇视频 membership.
The meeting took place virtually.
