The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with Lord (Tariq) Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister of State for South Asia and the Commonwealth of the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

\u00a0They discussed the President\u2019s High-level Meeting on Climate Change, to be held in New York on 26 October to build momentum ahead of COP26 in Glasgow. Lord Ahmed said the UK Mission was ready to work with the Office of the President on climate change issues throughout his presidency.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The meeting took place in the President\u2019s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n
