On the sidelines of COP26,\u00a0in Glasgow, Scotland,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the\u00a0President of the seventy-sixth session of the General Assembly H.E. Abdulla Shahid met with\u00a0H.E. Jochen Flasbarth,\u00a0State Secretary at Germany\u2019s Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the meeting, President Shahid congratulated Secretary Flasbarth on his work on the \u201cClimate Finance Delivery Plan\u201d prepared ahead of COP26, and thanked him for his participation at the High Level Thematic Debate on Delivering for Climate held on 26 October 2021.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both discussed the importance of urgent climate action, and the importance of youth participation.<\/span><\/p>\n
