Negotiations went until 4 o\u2019clock in the morning overnight. They picked up again this morning. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xxxmsonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">At this point, there is no date set yet for when the Fifth Committee will be discussed in the General Assembly plenary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xxxmsonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">President Abdulla Shahid is keeping in close contact with the Committee, offering any necessary support that could help bridge the divide. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xxxmsonormal\"><b><u><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">Columbia University\u00a0<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"xxxmsonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">In terms of what else is on his agenda\u2026 this afternoon, he will meet virtually with Columbia University students. He is expected to speak about the priorities of his Presidency of Hope, including how young people could be more engaged in the work of the General Assembly.
