Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with the Permanent Representative of Rwanda, H.E. Mrs. Valentine Rugwabiza.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Valentina Rugwabiza conveyed that she had completed her term as the Permanent Representative of Rwanda to the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ and would be returning to Kigali. She conveyed the continued support and commitment of the Republic of Rwanda to the Presidency of Hope.<\/p>\n<p>The President recalled his warm association with Mrs Rugwabiza and commented that her tenure saw Rwanda\u2019s engagement with the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ system vastly strengthened and that she would be leaving a legacy that her government can be proud about. President Shahid wished Ambassador Rugwabiza the very best in her future endeavors,<\/p>\n<p>Both sides also discussed other relevant topics including the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting to be held in Kigali in June 2022, and the annual event on the International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place in the President\u2019s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n<p>11 February 2022<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E.
