The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Marcelo Queiroga, Minister of Health of Brazil, on the sidelines of the High-Level Thematic Debate entitled \u201cGalvanising Momentum for Universal Vaccination\u201d.<\/p>\n
The President noted that the High-Level Thematic Debate was an important step to ensure vaccine equity and finally defeat the virus, and thanked the Minister for his attendance.<\/p>\n
Minister Queiroga reiterated Brazil\u2019s commitment to the President\u2019s Five Rays of Hope agenda and to all concerted efforts to overcome the pandemic, highlighting Brazil\u2019s participation in COVAX and the high rate of vaccination among the country\u2019s population.<\/p>\n
The meeting took place in the President\u2019s office at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n
