The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with Lord (Tariq) Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister of State for South Asia, North Africa, the United Nations and the Commonwealth of the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n
They discussed the crisis in eastern Ukraine being debated in the General Assembly, and the need to deescalate through dialogue and diplomacy. They also discussed the ongoing consultations on the Secretary-General\u2019s report \u2018Our Common Agenda\u2019 and climate change financing.<\/p>\n
The meeting took place in the President\u2019s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n
