Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with\u00a0<span lang=\"en-GB\">H.E. Ms. Annika Strandh\u00e4ll, Minister for Climate and the Environment, Sweden, and H.E. Mr. Keriako Tobiko, Cabinet secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Kenya<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The meeting was held , following the conclusion of the preparatory meeting for the International Meeting entitled \u201cStockholm+50: a healthy planet for the prosperity of all \u2013 our responsibility, our opportunity\u201d, held also today in the General Assembly Hall, New York.<\/p>\n<p>The President thanked both Ministers for their support to the preparatory meeting in their capacities as as Co-Hosts.<\/p>\n<p>The President was also briefed on the preparations being undertaken by the Governments of Sweden and Kenya as co-hosts of the International Meeting, which will take place in Stockholm from 2-3 June 2022.<\/p>\n<p>They also discussed their expectations for the International meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The President also used the opportunity to congratulate the Government of Kenya on the successful Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵEA5.2 and Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵEP@50 commemoration.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place in the President\u2019s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the 76th\u00a0session of the General Assembly, H.E.
