The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E Eng. Bassem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, Minister of Housing of the Kingdom of Bahrain<\/p>\n

The Minister praised the President for his initiatives under the Presidency of Hope. He also briefed the President about the commitments and initiatives taken by Bahrain to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change and making cities a catalyst in support of the sustainable development goals.<\/p>\n
\n
The President congratulated Bahrain for successfully finalizing a housing project to build 40,000 units, and for being amongst the first countries to submit its National Voluntary Reports to assess the implementations of the New Urban Agenda.<\/p>\n
He also expressed gratitude for Bahrain\u2019s support to the Office of the President under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to the Presidency of Hope.<\/p>\n
