The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with Mr. Yannick Glemarec, Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund (GCF).<\/p>\n

The Executive Director expressed his gratitude and commended the President on his work in delivering on his vision of hope including meeting the needs of our planet. He further briefed the President on GCF\u2019s work on Coral Reefs Investment window, private equity fund to encourage investments in the blue economy and protecting the coral reefs.<\/p>\n

The President commended the Executive Director on GCF\u2019s work. The President and the Executive Director also discussed relevant topics on sustainable development, climate change, SIDS development, building momentum towards COP27.<\/p>\n
\n
The meeting took place in the President\u2019s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n
