The President of the 76th<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with\u00a0H.E. Mr. Mohamed Bazoum, the President of the Republic of Niger<\/p>\n H.E. Mr. Mohamed Bazoum reaffirmed Niger\u2019s support to the PGA\u2019s Presidency of Hope and expressed Niger\u2019s keenness to work with the United Nations to achieve global peace and security, the 2030 agenda and the objectives of the Agenda 2063: \u201cThe Africa We Want\u201d.<\/p>\n The President of the General Assembly congratulated Niger for its contribution as an elected member of the security council for the period (2020-2021). He also expressed gratitude for Niger\u2019s constant support to the priorities of his Presidency of Hope.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Both sides also discussed other relevant topics such COVID-19 recovery, Africa agenda 2063, desertification, peace, and security in the Sahel region<\/p>\n The meeting took place in Sofitel, Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The President of the 76th\u00a0session of the General Assembly, H.E.
