Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with\u00a0H.E. Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Foreign Minister of Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>The President congratulated the Minister on his recent assumption of the post of the Foreign Minister, and thanked Pakistan for its leadership in the United Nations, including as Chair of the Group of 77 and China, and within the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. He commended Pakistan\u2019s commitment to multilateralism, leadership in countering Islamophobia, and contribution to Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ processes including the Our Common Agenda.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister thanked the President and reiterated the support of Pakistan to the President\u2019s Presidency of Hope and commended the President&#8217;s numerous efforts at improving the functioning of the United Nations General Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>Both sides also discussed other relevant topics such as regional security, United Nations reform and multilateralism.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n<p>18 May 2022<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The President of the 76th\u00a0session of the General Assembly, H.E.
