Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, Ms. Vladanka Adreeva, and the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Country Team. The meeting was joined by representatives of FAO, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵHCR, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵDP, IOM, the Department of Global Communications, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵICEF, and Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵFPA.<\/p>\n<p>President Shahid expressed his gratitude to the Resident Coordinator for her support, and that of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Country Team, in supporting his visit to Azerbaijan. President Shahid also noted the important role country teams play in delivering the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and in supporting the priorities of the Governments and local communities.<\/p>\n<p>They discussed the areas of interaction between the host country and the United Nations. Ms. Andreeva highlighted the areas of focus outlined in the framework of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Country Team.
