Abdulla Shahid met today with Ms. Michelle Bachelet, High-Commissioner for Human Rights.<span class=\"x_x_Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The President of the General Assembly briefed the High-Commissioner on the progress achieved implementing the priorities of his Presidency of Hope, in particular in relation to gender equality, youth and civil society participation, as well the cooperation between the Office of the President and OHCHR.<span class=\"x_x_Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Both sides exchanged views on issues related to human rights, gender equality and women empowerment, human rights and climate change and the follow-up process on the implementation of Our Common Agenda report.<span class=\"x_x_Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva.<span class=\"x_x_Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>15 June 2022<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the 76th\u00a0Session of the General Assembly H.E.
