Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with\u00a0H.E.\u00a0Mr.\u00a0Teodoro Obiang, President\u00a0of Equatorial Guinea,\u00a0on the sidelines of the 2022 United Nations Ocean Conference in Lisbon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;color: #201f1e\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;color: #201f1e\">The President\u00a0of the General Assembly\u00a0thanked President Obiang for\u00a0Equatorial Guinea\u2019s support for his Presidency of Hope\u00a0and\u00a0discussed the importance of the ongoing 2022 United Nations Ocean Conference.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;color: #201f1e\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;color: #201f1e\">President Shahid also\u00a0discussed the challenges facing the world today and highlighted the need for unity among Member States to overcome them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;color: #201f1e\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;color: #201f1e\">President Obiang\u00a0congratulated the\u00a0President Shahid for the\u00a0orderly\u00a0conduct of the 76<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: 5.5pt;color: #201f1e\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;color: #201f1e\">\u00a0session\u00a0and emphasized Equatorial Guinea\u2019s\u00a0perspective on the efforts by the African Member States to reform the United Nations Security Council.
