Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Fran\u00e7ois Bausch, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Defense and Minister for Mobility and Public Works of Luxembourg, on the sidelines of the High-level Meeting on Improving Global Road Safety.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>President Shahid welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister and thanked him for his participation in the High-level meeting, in particular as a keynote speaker at the multi-stakeholder panel on Sustained domestic investments and international financing for road safety.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The President commended Luxembourg for its achievements in strengthening road safety domestically and call for its further assistance to developing countries in this area.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the importance of this high-level meeting and road safety. He reiterated Luxembourg\u2019s continued\u00a0support for the work of the United Nations, and to multilateralism.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place at the President\u2019s Office at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1 July 2022<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E.
