Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Sa\u00fal Castelar, Vice Minister of Transportation of El Salvador, on the sidelines of the High-Level Meeting on Improving Global Road Safety.<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The President commended the Government of El Salvador for their efforts in implementing the Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030, and in addressing road safety. He thanked the Vice Minister for chairing the multi-stakeholder panel discussion under the theme \u201c<i>Sustained domestic investments and international financing for capacity building and development assistance in evidence-based road safety interventions<\/i>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Vice Minister thanked the President for convening the high-level meeting, and his efforts in facilitating the adoption of a political declaration. He reiterated El Salvador\u2019s commitment towards improving road safety and working with other countries to enhance cooperation on the issue.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place at the President\u2019s Office at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>30 June 2022<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E.
