Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with Ms. Anita Mui\u017eniece, Minister of Education of the Republic of Latvia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>President Shahid congratulated Latvia for\u00a0having presented its Voluntary National Review for the second time since 2018, recognizing the country\u2019s determination to advance the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals through the important role of education.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The President and Minister Mui\u017eniece discussed the significance of youth engagement, and both agreed that ensuring the involvement of future generations in decision-making is key to investing in multilateralism.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The discussions also touched on\u00a0the ongoing situation in Ukraine and its global implications.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place in the President\u2019s Office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>12 July 2022<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the 76th\u00a0session of the General Assembly, H.E.
