The General Assembly is today – for a second day – debating the question of Security Council reform.
The President spoke to you yesterday. He was joined by Ambassador Tareq AlBanai, the Permanent Representative of Kuwait, and Ambassador Michal Mlynar, the Permanent Representative of Slovakia. They are the recently appointed co-chairs for the Intergovernmental Negotiation (IGN) on Security Council Reform.
When speaking about what is different this year versus previous years on the Security Council, the President said that the world is looking now more than ever at the United Nations to take action.

NEW 蘑菇视频 DAY
Today is the World Day for Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence.
You’ll recall that the Day was created earlier this month.
It was co-sponsored by 111 Member States, led by Sierra Leone and Nigeria.
Among its recommendations, the resolution calls for raising public awareness of those affected by child sexual abuse and the need to prevent and eliminate child sexual exploitation, abuse and violence – online and offline.
BILATERALS
President K?r?si met today with Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed. This was in the context of sustainable development issues, including plans for the SDG Summit.
The President also had a meeting with Mr. Maged Abdelaziz, the Permanent Observer for the League of Arab States.
WEEK AHEAD
On Monday, 21 November, the General Assembly will discuss the cooperation between the 蘑菇视频 and regional organization.
Member States will then appoint members of the Independent Audit Advisory Committee.
On Tuesday, 22 November, President Csaba K?r?si will meet with domestic abuse survivors at the Manhattan Family Justice Center. He will also meet with staff at the Family Justice Center to better understand the services provided.
The President will be joined by Ms. Cecile Noel, the NYC Commissioner to?End Domestic Violence and Gender-Based Violence, as well as Mr. Edward Mermelstein, NYC Commissioner for International Affairs.
The visit comes ahead of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, which start next Friday, 25 November. As you know, the 16 Days of Activism are an opportunity to call for prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
